Read a great article in the Crossfit Journal this morning. The quote below is from that article. I feel like it is something that should be on the wall at the gym.
"Remember that fitness is a goal inadvertently attained through the systematic overestimation of yourself in all fields. It’s a byproduct of setting the bar too high, of striving for perfection & falling just short. It’s knowing that you’ll never get there but trying your damndest nonetheless. It’s constantly pushing your limits in every direction regardless of your skill. It’s finding a way to keep ringing the bell."
Last nights WOD was
5 Rounds
20m-40m-60m shuttle run
10 Front Squat 135/95
15 Jump overs - your choice of height
20 KB Swings - your choice of weight
I messed up the first couple of runs ( a bit short) and miss calculated my Front Squat weight so I was #90 when I thought it was #95. 12" and #25 KB.
I forget the time. I did all the squats not quite unbroken, but did not put the weight down. KB Swings unbroken. Jump overs - that was another story.
Wengler work out on overhead squat after the WOD. Actually pretty good, but the left should limited the AMRAP set to 7.
So excited that Mike Y is returning to the gym.
